Jersey Shore

Today I flew to Jersey! It's part of the UK but is closer to France (14 miles)
I had a fab time but.
Broke my iPhone :(
Bought Aveda Shampure (my fave) and then had to put it in the BIN at airport security. Duh.
Anyway
It's a beautiful place. Nearly bought the most gorgeous vintage Hermes scarf but managed to find some self control. Damn being poor:) Found a cute deli for breakfast... They have their own Jersey money! Too cute! Some pics courtesy of my shattered iPhone...

What Saturday at 6.30 am looks like

Lie-in's are a thing of the past.
Although I often let Husband lie in, and take Meadow out as soon as she wakes up. I love early mornings anyway...
Here is a bit of our Saturday morning. We were the only people out in the village, and in our gorgeous park and it was lovely :) Miss M rocking some serious bed-head! It was all beautiful and misty, with sunshine breaking through...making the most of it while it is here.
It's been a tough few days as I've been mad busy with work but feeling ill, and Meadow seems to have my bug, and is coughing with a high temp. So night wakenings again! I've not missed them at all and the last 3 nights have made me wonder how the hell I got up 3 times a night for months???

Anyway, here's hoping we get through tonight with a good sleep! Please baby gods :)

Things I would do

if I had another baby.
(which I have zero plans to do at the moment FYI)
1. Take several cute blankies to hospital, like this one or this one. I took ONE !!! which was not enough as babies spit up copious amounts and so Meadow ended up wrapped in a towel. See below.
2. Make sure that Husband does as promised and knows how carseat works. Pretty sure we got that wrong. See below
3. As professional photographers with extremely expensive cameras, take one to hospital, so not left with grainy iPhone pics of brand new child. See below.
4. Also take a book. I had loads of alone time and was bored. Babies sleep. A lot. Thoroughly enjoying this
5. Allow my Dad to come along (not in The Room but be around). He wanted to. I refused and then realised actually I wished he was there.
6. Take teeny tiny onesies. All Meadows were too big and she looked lost. Also buy millions as you change them constantly. My favourites.

Summer days

Hmmm, not really had many of those this year yet. I'm missing the sunshine. So a little perk up from Miss M. She just makes me SMILE :)

Anyway I have a ridiculously annoying cough which is seriously cramping my sleep! Coughs are the worst! Off to bed with some lemon tea and my kindle (rock n roll) :)

Sometimes the answer is to get dirty

Sunday already??
Been sorting out the OBH and having a good old spring clean. Moving things around and clearing space. We have a huge gap in our bedroom on the "3rd" level of our mezzanine and I have no idea what to fill it with. A desk? A big comfy chair and book space? Nothing?
Saving my favourite old suitcase though. Where has it been in it's life?
Meadow is moving up a class at nursery! Her schedule for induction which I thought I'd capture as a keepsake...My baby is going to the "toddler" group aka "the piglets" :)
Reading magazines this weekend - they all have winter season clothing which is MAD as we have not had a summer yet...but LOVING this outfit.Red magazine
Park time with Harry and both were being brave on the big slide, and finding a huge, muddy puddle to jump in....never mind the leather shoes and Cath Kidson leggings...you are only 21 months once after all......but seriously what is in mud that makes it washproof????

Hope you all had a fab weekend - I'm ridiculously pleased with myself for only spending on groceries this weekend (although how I manage to spend £100 on 3 dinners is beyond me) - no extra purchases! Woop!

The Friday Feeling

Sooo glad it is the start of the weekend!
Been a tough week, and I've been feeling under the weather.
Miss M has been a total sweetheart and making me laugh lots, as she has now started to speak in sentences. "Meadow want Mummy camera?" is her favourite. I love that she speaks in the third person it's toooo cute :) And everything is a question!
Couple of shots from today, including a random donkey we came across ("horswey mummy") and a house for sale near mine that I want my Daddy to buy! My favourite vintage ring that I got at the antique centre in Scotland, near my Dad's. Loving my bright blue jeans with grey t-shirt :)

Also my new pouffe's (giggle) that make awesome seats and add a shot of colour to our super neutral house. And Meadows new Zara baby Mac that has some awesome details. She is so chuffed with it :)

We are all busy

Busy busy busy
I hear it a lot.
And sometimes I feel it too. And sometimes I am hit with the realisation that I am busy putting off the stuff I need to be doing!
Anyway, this week I really have been busy. On a training course (for work)that felt like CBT. Not that I have experienced that, but it was what I imagine CBT would be like. Change your beliefs. Your thought influences your actions positively or negatively...REALLY? You think?
