Bon Anniversaire

Tuesday, 14 May 2013

Today is our wedding anniversary! So much has happened to us since that beautiful day in Chelsea.
But I want to talk about the day I met my husband.
It was at a company black tie event. I SO didn't want to go. It was near Manchester and meant a long drive for me and I hate formal dinners and dancing and the whole hooha. But I went.
And it was actually fun. As they things usually are. My best friend Tash, as we were sipping champagne, asked ooh have you see the photographer here? He is gorgeous. Nope. No. Not seen him. Then one of the singing waiters (google them) started chatting to me, and I forgot all about looking out for a cute photographer.
Until he came up to me, And asked me what we were talking about
And he was cute
And so it began
And we met for drinks a few weeks later. I texted him "hello! would you have time to meet me for a quick drink? YES YES YES he responded.
I always say to him. I loved you the moment I met you.
And I mean it.
He captured my heart with his handsome face, his vulnerability and a need to be oh so loved and I immediately wanted to be around him always and love him forever
And I still do
Happy Anniversary my love
xo
Ps I am not fat I was 5 month pregnant :) We had already planned our wedding so just went with it :) So Meadow was right there with us!

Monday Musings

Monday, 13 May 2013

Just looking through my millions of photos and the ones of Meadow as a 5-6 month old always make me smile so. The chubby cheeks. The blonde curls forming. The cheeky lopsided smile.
And the second picture does too. She has such joie de vivre. My biggest hope for her is that she always does, and this sweet soul carries on through her life with her amazing energy and vibrance and continues to make people smile. It is such a gift. And if I achieve nothing else in my life I will always feel so blessed to have been a part of it all. And that's what I focus on, when life gets to feeling oh so mundane and I feel the contraints of my life and that I have not achieved as much as I could/should. Focusing on the friends I have, who offer to bring around cold medication 'cause they know I am sick, and call me with the first question being 'how are you?'

Thank you! Thank you!

Silent Sunday

Sunday, 12 May 2013

Silent, except for this.
My husband is a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER.
He takes photos like you wouldn't believe
And the above is the best he could get of me and Meadow? Pffft. What do they say about shoemakers wearing no shoes?

Happy Saturday

Friday, 10 May 2013

Still feeling EUGGHHHH but am being a trooper and heading in to London to meet wedding couples! Further to my prison stay, the prison dates from 1018!!! WHAT THE WHAT? No wonder I had bad dreams. I blame William the Conqueror.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and come back tomorrow won't ya?

In Prison

Thursday, 9 May 2013

I truly am!
This week has been a doozy.
Meadow has been poorly again, not letting me out of her sight for five minutes(remember how much you needed mama when you were ill? I sure do!) and now I have her virus but am in Oxford staying at Malmaison for work, and it was a Victorian prison now hotel! Weird vibes here I tell ya!
Anyway back on blogging form this weekend I promise.
Have a good Friday!

Bank Holiday at the Bake House

Sunday, 5 May 2013

We had friends over (hurrah), and it was Lindsay's birthday....shame I only had pink candles (sorry Lindsay) but I have made amends by posting the picture of the Birthday Boy with Monty's bumbo on his head (I promised I would and I have)
So much fun to spend quality time with people we have so much in common with...and the kids had a ball jumping on our bed and running themselves ragged around the OBH, it is such a party house....Meds went to bed at 7pm and we caught up on The Following OMG Kevin what is going to happen to you next?? I hope he ends up with Claire.

Today heading off to buy plants and flowers, because it is Bank Holiday Sunday and that is what we do. Rock and Roll......
Hope you all had a great Saturday too with family and friends. x

PS Meadow's dress is from Joules and yes, they should sponsor us.

Free Friday

Friday, 3 May 2013

So good to have time off.
Pairing prints with my beloved stripes.
Sun steaming in through the OBH. Really hate the black wallpaper now though. Every day I fight the urge to tear it all off. I want something bright and sparky. Maybe Orla Keily-ish. I need to sweet talk Rich in to doing it :)
I got my hair coloured. And I ditched Aveda and went to the old lady hairdresser in my village. And hey! Same kinda colour for £101 less, which means £101 more to spend in All Saints??

BBQ time tomorrow in the OBH with friends and toddlers and babies and lots of wine (for us). Meadow is pretty excited about it. "Mums, do I get to wear my party dwess?" and also she has been singing Happy Birthday around the house. Bless her.

On a final note if you haven't tried ByTerry products, then do.  I am beyond addicted to their lipbalm/cuticle balm and it smells divine...and boys like it (say no more)

Thursday Friday feeling

Thursday, 2 May 2013

Feels like Friday because I am off tomorrow Hooray!
Just wanted to get in from work and kick off my work clothes and relax in comfies....and am crazy about necklaces at the moment, I am becoming all magpie. I love teaming bright ones with casual tops like tshirts (mine pictured is from label lab (and is a men's XS)

A few snaps from the OBH, nailpolishes desperately awaiting me to finally paint my goddamn nails and a treasured photo of me and an old friend....happy times in party dress and sunshine (we were doing a photoshoot and people kept asking us if we were just married and he said Yes and it was so sweet how happy people were for us!!!If only for a few hours :)

Hope you all had a good day and found something to inspire you xoxo

PS Has anyone been in to All Saints lately? I went in today and seriously I WANT IT ALL, I want the cropped leather jacket, the prints skirts, the silvery tops, the v neck t shirts......but obviously left with nothing...Pah.

Today

Tuesday, 30 April 2013

Cath Kidston is doing a limited edition London zipped pouch! How cute? Had to!
Loving the daffodils in my kitchen, they are pure summer :) and make me smile whenever I see them (and yes, I so blurred out the background as our kitchen island is a bit of a crap fest...every morning it is empty, by 4pm it is littered with stuff!!!)
Husband working away editing a wedding, and getting fired up for the wedding season which kicks off next month...hello working long long long hours at the weekends! Hello grumpy husband!
Drawn towards pops of blue the moment, must be getting over my grey phase, and my good old Mulberry is hitting the spot, along with a new blue patterned skirt from Joules (not usually my style of store, but this skirt is just awesome)

What's making you happy this week? Meadow has discovered popcorn doesn't just exist at the cinema and is forever begging for some! It's the simple things....

Sunday-Tuesday

Wednesday, 24 April 2013

Kind of passed me by in a bit of a blur. As is what happens when you are on a sales conference. Gone are the champagne days and the presents left in your room. Now it's a glass of red and a please God when can I escape to bed..:)
So I do what all fashion loving girls do. I focus on the bags. Oh Phillip Lim. Oh hello little tiny Prada satchel, Oh how you cheer me so my loves :)
The hotel we stayed in was old and eccentric and rambling....LOVING their cycles and wellies in the foyer..if only I had had the time....I did sneek out at 6am for a run, and I must say the lambs out springing around and 2 friendly horses down the track, sure did put a smile on my face. I was chatting to the horses, and filling them in on things (as you do) when I noticed the CCTV camera moving. Thank God those things do not catch sound!!!!!

Anyway, I'm off to bed, its late for me (22.51!!!!!) and I can barely string a sentence together (you probably noticed) Night everyone! Sweet dreams xo

PS Is anyone else totes confused by Google plus or am I just an idiot?? I lose my blogger profile if I "make the switch" I want to but don't want to lose this. Gah!
