What's Up Wednesday

Today started a little early.

3am.

With a little girl in star pajamas
Climbing up the stairs
And snuggling in to her mama
Who then could not get back to sleep.
With a hot toddler (always always snug) breathing heavily in her ear. Rain slamming against the windows. And a husband who was snoring after 2 too many brandy's :)

This evening went a little better....
With a big ol' pile of stuff to eBay (yup still selling up a storm)
A few sexy new purchases
And a gorgeous little girl in a tutu
Who never ever walks past The Mulberry without a good rake around.

Bits of the Weekend

So
It was busy!
And got off to a good start with....flowers! And not just any flowers. BIG FAT APOLOGY flowers from my favourite florist, where my wedding flowers came from. And yes, they came with the actual apology too. I think that an apology can never be underestimated and believe me, I have never in my life rebuffed one, if it is sincere.

So it continued with Meadow's 2 favourite things of the moment. Her sparkly shoes, and her owl hat It is generally cold enough in our house to wear these pretty much all the time :) And yes, that is pen on Meadow's hand. She is a frikkin genius at finding pens and generally writes on herself. probably little shorthand notes for "Mummy's bag. Grab it. Take everything out. Wear her lipstick. Stuff her work receipts in my jacket pockets. Wear her sunglasses upside down and always, always empty her change out on to floor, attempt to eat any paracetamols she may have in there and chewing gum"

My favourite Meadow item of the moment has to be her fox top from H&M, i am beyond jealous! H&M please make an adult one......please. And talking of H&M I had to buy her....a tutu. Which she promptly wore which caused a lot of smiles in Chichester :) What did not cause smiles here was her unscrewing the clasp on my new Mulberry bag. Or me simultaneously catching my dress on Meadow's pram as said bag wiggled down my hips to around my knees. Not one of my finer moments.

Other noteworthy things, I am selling up a storm on eBay but unfortunately keep buying stuff too... this chair for my desk, a shirt from this brand and a cute jacket from my favourite Whistles

Thoughtful Thursday

Today has been pretty long and very eventful..most of which I will not elaborate on, as there is only so much that is appropriate to talk about on what is essentially a very public forum... :)

I feel at the moment that I am losing track of where I want to be, and even who I am which is ridiculously frightening. I know what my responsibilities are, as a wife and a mother, and I think I do my job (s) pretty well....but when the person you share all your responsibilities with criticises what you do and how you do it, I think oh fuck you. How dare you. Get out! And now I am sat here thinking what if he is right and I am wrong? And I really in my heart and my head know he is not!!! Anyway that is probably too much information already.

And on an altogether lighter note, a new book! How many I have on the go now?8!!! 8!!I thought this one looked interesting especially as at the moment my thinking is definitely slow :)
Also got the CUTEST hat from M&S (and yes it looks like an old lady hat in my pics but in reality it's super cute))  and let me tell you, taking pics of yourself (also late so poor light) is not easy! As you can see :)I feel silly actually doing it, but well. sometimes you need to feel silly.
PS Meadow in a bed tonight! Take 2. Please do not let her wander tonight. Please baby gods! So far so zzzzzzzz. PPS And she actually weed in the toilet yesterday! She is only 2! No potty straight to loo. She is a genius. Yes. Biased.

Mundane Monday

So it rained today. A lot. Which is not great for camera!
So I will start with an apology for boring pics :)
But I'm kinda totally loving plants at the moment and scattering them in beautiful pots around the OBH. So expect to see more and more :)

I am also loving the rain a little bit as it means I get to wear this (see pics).
Meadow got an early Christmas present from Daddy (or is it for himself).
My new Estee Lauder night repair to stave off those wrinkles and trying to organise my life with this
although out of sight means out of mind for me but hey ho. Open plan living means keeping things organised and tidy or I go in to meltdown.
Talking of which Meadow is being a major pain at the moment, real tantrums, throwing herself on the floor, saying "NO" a lot, and refusing to brush her teeth or go to bed. Textbook toddler. Exhausting. Oh to have a French child who does none of these things. Maybe I will find one in Paris (NOV 23rd! NOV 23rd!!) I have just spent the last half hour holding her hand and trying to persuade her to sleep. We tried making her cot in to a bed yesterday. She brought through her blanket and bunny no less than 8 times, before the side went back on. BIG FAIL.

Focus Friday

Today started with a memorial service for a good friend of mine. Rich knew he was dying. He knew who he wanted there and he knew what he wanted to be heard.
Rich was and NLP Master and he was all about reaching your potential. His life celebration ended with

"If not now, when?

If not you, who?"

I feel he was speaking to me, as this is exactly what he would say to me right now.
So I made a change. And it started today.

Meadow has been such a joy today. She played kitchen for ages and let me relax a bit. She also pointed out I was watching "Kardashians Mummy" which is shocking as a) I hardly ever watch it and b) I can barely pronounce it myself! She also chilled out by reading one of my magazines :)

Today has been such a weird day and I feel all discombobulated (love that word, may have spelled it wrong) but overall feel exceptionally grateful for my life and my family and excited about new opportunities :)

Woohoo Wednesday

One more sleep.
Then home to my two favourite people. Started today with a gorgeous run over Tower Bridge and up past The Design Centre.
Ended with a boat trip and a champagne toast on the London Eye.
I was carefully savouring my champers and enjoying every sip, when the server whipped it off me, as you can't disembark with your glass :( dammit! No chance to even down it...the look of pure horror on my face amused my team for hours....
Can't wait to come home and see my baby and how I've missed my camera too!

Too Much Tuesday

Too much work makes for a dull day. So made a quick escape to here for some new undies :)
Stratford has the most amazing Westfield shopping centre where I could have spent the whole day eating Pinkberry, getting my nails done and shopping. If only..... Seriously missing my baby now. Two more sleeps....

Conference fever

Tired and showing it! Starting to feel conference psychosis setting in :)
Although playing the bongos (!!!!) brought up energy levels .....
