Working here all week. Life is good! Downtime margaritas in Havana are the best! Cute dress for dinner. Very expensive new toothpaste. And best of all, the sun still shining :)

Working in central London today

So took time out to run around the British Museum and be a tourist :) 25 degree weather too....Found cute Gelato shop.
Also swung by Zara and bought ripped jeans which I LOVE! Comfy and £40.... Result!
Put the paddling pool in next doors garden for Miss Meadow and despite it being nearly 6.30 it's still so hot! She had fun splashing around. Rich is digging up our little garden and making it more Meadow friendly. He's uncovered old red brick and it looks awesome. Pics to follow....happy weekend!

Today

Has been a funny old day, full of cancelled plans and tears and tantrums (mine:)) Meadow has just been put to bed and is currently rotating between a bad rendition of "baa baa black sheep" "mamadaddamammadadda" ing and crying! Go to sleep baby! I am leaving Sunday behind with this picture taken by the lovely Cerys, demonstrating a thoroughly bad outfit choice by me! In my defence, I had been in work clothes and only had this to change in to. Bad planning, dressing like your 20 month old. Not cool :)

A bit of my weekend

First of all, my poor diary that Meadow threw in her bath.
Second Meadow's new tube of toothpaste came to a bad end while I was heating her milk.
Thirdly, my Starbucks card got fried on my ceramic hob. Don't ask.
But fourthly, the sun was out and my girl found a nice big door to knock on!

Bluebells

Ahhh me and Meadow! Amongst the bluebells in West Sussex. We go every year and take her pic to document her growing up. Last year she was teeny and the weather was toasty. Not so much this time!

IKEA kitchen

Meadow adores hers! Hours of fun. She really has hardly any toys asides from a mini stroller and building bricks, cups and books. So we decided to get her this, as she was driving me nuts turning on my hob :)

New footstool

We have been searching for a while, and Rich suggested why not try sofa.com where we got the sofa from! Duh! And so! Perfectly matched footstool. Ours is in herringbone not blue, to match our herringbone sofa. And I sprung for scotch guarding too as Meadow always seems to have some sticky chocolatey mess on her tiny hands.....I will post pics of it in The OBH when it arrives www.sofa.com

Today

I was in Oxford, at St John's College, for a meeting. All day I felt like I was in The DaVinci Code. There is something very special about Oxford. You can feel it in the air. Weird but true.

I have spent 1 hour with Rich, and he has annoyed me twice.

Meadow gave me the BEST hug tonight and a kiss and then pointed to her bed! Night night! Or as she says 'byebye'.

I have looked and tutted at the filthy car that I am ashamed is my lovely white (now debatable could be any colour it is so dirty) BMW and still drove past 2 carwashes. Why??

I have eaten 2 pancakes, 1 pret-a-manger LOVE bar, and a whole bag of popcorn. FATass

I have drunk mostly coffee and red wine.

I have rejoiced at the cleanliness of my house. I LOVE Evi, my cleaner. Where has she been all my life?

I have laughed a lot today.

I am going to bed to finish The Hunger Games, despite The Shipping News being my book club book to be read by Monday. The Hunger Games is awesome. So imaginative!

I am also going to bed so I stop eating.
